Chapter 1

The Shocking Revelation

ELISE’S POV

"Hurry, Elise, we have to leave soon!” I hear my mother's voice down the hall as I stare back at my reflection in the mirror. I put a hand to my chest to try to cool my rapidly beating heart, but how could I be calm in this situation? Especially when today was the actual day I’ve been groomed my entire life to be prepared for.

I can’t believe it’s today . The day of my mating ceremony. The day I’ve been waiting for, the day that I’m supposed to do my duties as my father’s daughter, my father chief Dexton Alderman, is the beta leader of my pack, the Sivernight pack.

Today was a crucial day that could lead to massive change. Ever since I was nine, I was set to be the bride of another pack when I turned nineteen, and my 19th birthday was yesterday.

And everything is supposed to be perfect. I am supposed to be perfect. Year I couldn’t help a shudder runs down my spine from today’s event, was it the wedding jitters? It had to be .

Especially since I had been chosen to be the bride and Luna by Alpha Kyren of the Darknight Pack. He is a strong alpha and the future leader of his pack, being that he was the son of the chief of his tribe, and in my father's words a 'perfect' choice for me.

Finally, I would be able to set my wolf free for the first time, finally freeing my inner wolf to run free, this is only because our pack rules ban the change of a female wolf till she meets her mate, and they would both turn together after the bond is made whole under the high moon when we say our sworn vows and he bites and marks me.

My body shuddered to the thought of being claimed, and all the more, I hardly knew my betrothed, he was more like a stranger to me. I watched my perfectly curled red locks fall across my face, with a shaky hand I push it pack.

“Don’t be nervous…this is what you have been waiting for” I mutter to myself. But my self-advice was cut short when I hear the door open.

“El?” I hear my mom's soft voice call out to me as I turn to her when she enters the room. I tried to hide my nerves and show excitement, but she could always read me like a damn book. “It’s ok to be nervous, my dear, but I’m glad you will finally be able to meet your wolf; it is a special feeling.”

I could only smile and nod to her words; I could feel something in me tug; I couldn't tell if it was my wolf or my nerves getting the best of me, but I needed to hold my head high; I am the chief's daughter.

She patted the cloak around my body, her face covered with a see-through dark veil. Kind brown eyes moved at the windows, noting it was time since the high moon was out. “Mom I-“

But I was interrupted by the heavy push of the door. My father, Chief Dexton, beta of the silvernight pack, a cold ruler to those who served him, I watch as his eyes formed with irritation, moved his gaze to my mom, who had to bow in respect to her husband, mate, and leader.

I was already used to her being submissive to his every call and whim, but I hated it—hated that he had to use our fear for leverage to obey him. “We need to leave now, child,” he called coldly as I followed behind.

We left our mansion, Delta guards greeting us as we passed them by, all forming a straight line that led up the steps to the large auditorium that had our guests waiting.

The large ancient ancestral space where mating of the pack took place, the glass roof made to let the high moonlight shine in, and a step alter in the middle of the room for the mates to bond.

My blood heated the minute I laid eyes on the unfamiliar cloaks of the Darknight wolves. Only two of them stood, Kyren and Father Chief Jon, while their guards stood outside the building with orders like ours.

I couldn’t help but shudder when I met the gaze of Alpha Jon, who assessed me, seeing if it was fit and right for his son. It felt like I was a tool being sold.

My father and Jon gave a short greeting to each other while Kyren stood in his six-foot glory, his dark eyes staring at me and his expression filled with lust and an unreadable expression in them.

“Elise,"” my father’s voice boomed, reminding me where I was and what I was supposed to do. I looked to the old female Gamma priest who stood, waiting for me to climb the altar.

I took off my cloak, feeling the breeze trade up my nipples till they hardened. The silk dress I was wearing was so thin that I was almost naked. It was a tradition the night packs had followed for centuries, baring all our sins for our mates to accept.

And an easier option for when we change into our wolves and don’t need to destroy our clothes.

My long red hair covered my chest areas, and shrouding my nipples from the unforgiving cold as I walked up the cold steps, with my betrothed Kyren waiting for me, his chest marked with white moon markings that stood identical to the ones on my chest and collarbone. While he stills stood modest in dark pants.

“Magnificent,” Kyren muttered as his eyes stared at me. It felt like a heavy weight pulling me to whine out in distress, biting my lips to keep myself suppressed.

Now it was time for Kyren to claim me. His first growl set my insides on fire, and in tone, I felt the moon's rays on my skin heat up.

I screamed from the pain as my knees hit the ground. My body felt like it was in flames as white steam came out of me. Was changing supposed to be this agonizing and painful?

Why wasn’t I changing? I could feel kyren’s grip on my hair and nape as he pulled me up to look at him.

“She dared defy my orders to change? Is this a sick joke?” Kyren muttered, hearing the room erupt in whispers.

“This has to be a mistake,” my father muttered, baffled.

“You dare bring a defective wolf to us!” Jon roared by before I could even speak. I felt another crippling pain that made Kyren drop me as I burned. This time I felt my blood boiling in my skin, a large gasp from the priest as I looked at the reflection from the shallow moon pool at the altar, and someone else was staring back.

My once fully red hair now had an eerily streak of a white silver stand, while even my once dark brown eyes were now a bright ocean blue that had me reeling back in shock. And everyone was here to witness it.

“You brought a cursed wolf to us? Isn’t this white hair a trait of the Calhan tribe that is now extinct? What is the meaning of this?” Jon roared

I looked to my father for help, but instead, I saw his hand clutched to my mother's neck as his body slammed against the wall. “You whore!” He roared,

“Malia, whose cursed child is this? Don’t tell me that you let that man touch you.”

“I’m sorry, I don’t know; I swear, Dexton, she is supposed to be yours!” My mother cried. What was she talking about? That chief Dexton wasn’t my father?.”

“Look at me." Kyren's voice boomed like a heavy force as I jerked my head up to meet his stare. His eyes shoved a challenge at me, urging me to bend my head down in fear and respect, but I didn’t want to. Instantaneously, a growl rumbled in my throat, showing my disposition: I would not yield to him.

“You are a stubborn bitch, are you? You aren’t even obeying your alpha,” he muttered.

“Forgive me, Kyren and Chief Jon; my wife and daughter have shown so much disrespect; I will be sure to punish them,” he urged desperately. I could see the clear anger and embarrassment on his face as he looked at my mother with so much disdain and true hatred seeping from his gaze.

The next thing, his hand was raised, slapping my mother hard on the face until she fell to the ground. I felt like I couldn’t breathe.

“No matter, even though the bond has not been completed, the vows have been made, and she belongs to my son, so he can do what he wants with her. She is a wolfless child, a fledgling, and you know it is our tradition to kill the weak,'' Chief Jon says.

I looked to my father to see his distraught face, but he was cold and quiet as he turned his back on me. “If that pleases you, that bastard defect is yours to punish as you want,” he said, breaking my already shattered heart.

“ father..please—” I begged, but he only glared at me with disdain before he turned away, grabbing my mother harshly by the hair. Hot, heated tears spilled from my eyes.

Kyren's chuckle had my attention as I turned back to him. “Pity, you can’t even be submissive and bow down to me,” he snarled. “Not only are you defective, but you are a bastard born from an extinct pack, and it would be a pity to kill you,” he says.

“You are not even worth being my son’s concubine, but a slave sold to us,” his father, Chief Jon, spat.

“ you! You and your fathers are monsters!” I called, but my words became stuck as Kyran's hand wrapped tightly around my throat.

“Now I have every right to reject you. Don’t you get it, love? I cannot have a fledgling as a mate! .. So I, Alpha Kyren Gerwolf of the Darknight Pack, reject Elise Alderman as my mate!”

I heard the lifeless scream of my mother one last time as her neck cracked and everything turned quiet. Her last words were my name, filled with terror, and I knew then that my mother was dead.

And my once-perfect life and the day I’ve looked forward to for years just turned into my worst nightmare coming to life.

Chapter 2

His Rejected Property

ELISE

I could hardly contain the agonizing scream that left me as I heard the last scream from my mother, as my father, Chief Dexton, had killed her, snapping her neck so coldly.

He murdered her in cold blood the moment he learned I wasn’t his. I held the queasiness and bile at the back of my throat as I tried to pull myself up, but the hard tug on my wrist reminded me of where I was and who I was with.

I could still feel my half-wolf, even though I couldn’t change or control her. I snarled out, baring my teeth and canines at Kyren, “Let me go!”

“Shut the hell up; you’re mine now, so act like it.” Before I could fight back, I felt a great blow on my face. My body immediately whipped to the side as I fell face-first onto the gravel. My vision turned blurry, and the last face I saw was Kyren's smug face as his father, Jon, chuckled beside him.

“Good night, sweetheart,” and the last thing I heard as my vision turned black and I lost consciousness and a burning tear left my eyes, tears filled with hatred, sadness, resentment, and a vow of revenge.

I find myself awake, my body aching as I try to sit up, only to see that the platform I was on was unstable. I wasn’t on the altar anymore, and neither was I in the pack.

I’m in the back of a caged carriage, surrounded by males guards around the carriage. The familiar insignia and dark red cloaks prove that I’ve been taken by the Darknight pack.

I glance downward to see my hand and leg chained. They had the decency to put me in clothes, but it was hardly a clean fabric, more like rags that my father must have provided. My father who is now a murderer.

The memories immediately flashed in my mind—the screams of my mother. That monster wasn’t my father anymore. “The little princess is finally awake!” One of the guards announced it as the others chuckled.

I could see the Darknight Pack gate open as we trudged in. No, if I am taken in here, there is no way I will make it out. I had to escape now.

“Let me out of here at once!” I screamed, tugging on the chain that hurt more the more I pulled it, but I could hardly care. The dull ache in my skull still reminded me that I wasn’t at full strength yet.

“Shut the hell up!” A Delta wolf says. I was stunned into silence. A Delta guard was speaking to me like I meant nothing. I was sure this was the work of Chief Jon. They must have all learned the news of my not being Alpha Dexton's daughter.

His attention was called to the front as footsteps emerged from where I stood. A younger male who was of higher rank than the Delta walked over and said, “Alpha Kyren wants her in the hall now.”

I was pushed into the candlelit hall of the Dark night Pack, its throne room large and mighty, with dark gray stones around the walls and pillars. Its lighting throne settled in the middle, with Kyren seated in it.

I was stunned and a little confused to see why he was there, but then I realized that his father had given him the seat, and he was now the alpha of the DarkNight Pack.

“There she is,” he mutters, pushing himself off the throne as he marched to where I stood, his dirty blonde hair pushed back in a sleek pull, and his roguishly handsome looks were wasted on a monster like him.

“You rejected me, Kyren. Why am I still here? Let me go!” I urged him, but he just laughed. His hand pulled up to hold my chin between his fingers as he spoke.

“It seems you’d like it if I banished you till you became a filthy rogue wolf. Imagine a highborn princess becoming a rogue by night. A pity, don’t you think?” He mutters in amusement.

“It’s better to be a rogue wolf than to be here with you!” I spat, and his gaze turned cold, a wicked smirk placed on his lips, dropping his hands from my chin.

“Lucky for you, I’m in good spirits. A festival was supposed to be held to bless our bonding and my ascension to the throne as the new alpha. Too bad one of them didn’t happen, but the show must go on. I was promised a throne if I took you from your high and mighty pack by my father, and I did it anyway, didn’t I? So I am now king.”

I couldn’t help but make my stomach churn. So I was just a mere bet between him and his father—my life and hand for his throne.

I could hear a loud cheer erupt just outside the walls of the throne room—screams from hundreds of wolves. “What is going on?” I panicked.

“You’ll see,” he called as I was pushed to start walking by a guard. It was agonizing to walk up the steps as my body ached, but I didn’t let Kyren see it—see that he was getting to me.

We reached the opening, and my eyes were blinded by the sight. It was a bit of a battle pit situated in the middle of an arena. Wild cheers from the Bloodnight Pack as two contestants were called out.

The first one was a roguish redhead, his muscles as large as my head, a smug pride on his face as he beat his chest to the crowd's cheers. He was feral and dangerous, and all in all, I hated the look in his eyes the moment he looked at me. Disgusting lust showed in them, and it had me shuddering.

The other male that was called out had the crowd in silence. Even I took a large gulp at the stature of this male; his dark hair stuck to his sweaty skin like he had just finished multiple fights. I couldn’t help but gasp at the inhuman and open gash wounds on his flesh.

It was claws from a wolf, and the more his face was covered with a muzzle, the more it showed how dangerous he was. His aura alone had the crowd shuddering from his gaze and presence alone.

I looked to Kyren, his eyes filled with a fit of intense jealousy, which he immediately covered with his casual yet wicked smile as he looked into the fighting arena and at the muzzled raven haired beast. “Ka’al, once again, it seems you’ve beaten one of my best men,” he said to the muzzled, dark-haired male who walked up to the podium where I stood.

I felt an electrifying buzz on my skin that caused the hair on my skin to rise the moment our eyes met. I looked away immediately. I wanted nothing to do with this dangerous man.

“But this duel will be special because I brought back a special gift for you: the princess of the Darknight Pack awards us with her presence!” He said it mockingly as the whole crowd cheered. “And if any one of you wins this duel, you will mount her and take her as yours!” He said.

And my heart dropped to my stomach. He had just doomed me to be forcibly taken and abused by one of these men, no doubt. My stomach churned, and I could feel my body shiver from fear—real fear.

I felt like I was going to throw up. “K-Kyren—” he ignored me as he faced the wild males in the arena.

“Let the tournament begin!”

The redhead immediately changed into his wolf, while the muzzled man was still in human form. I couldn’t help but feel the intrigue that pushed back my fear. Why wasn’t he changing? He was going to be killed!

The redhead was merciless in his attack; his wolf leaped, striking a clawed paw. The latter dodged. These attacks were intense, but I was all the more surprised that the dark-haired man could keep up.

His defense was slow from all the previous wounds he had gotten, and one was still bleeding from his arm as he tried to fight back. The red wolf saw that as an opportunity to bite hard into his shoulders.

Screams of agony filled the arena, but the crowd cheered instead. My body grew cold, imagining that redheaded monster forcing himself on me.

It felt like a fever dream the moment the whole hall heard the hard crunch of bones. Everyone thought it was the dark-haired male's shoulders, but to my surprise, it was the red wolf's skull that was broken.

The muzzled alpha moved fast and clean as he delivered the killing blow, blood splattering everywhere as the wolf fell with a great thud.

In human form, the muzzled male had won the whole darn tournament. He had the strength of a monster. I had never seen anyone with that kind of strength. But as my wolf pretended to his victory,.

A dreadful thought occurred to me. Either way, he was the winner—a monster so horrific and strong that his face had to be muzzled. A dangerous beast.

And I was going to be offered to him.

Chapter 3

Owned

Elise could hardly take her eyes off the championed beast who emerged victor, with a fear of what’s to come.

“Brilliant, isn’t it?” Kyren broke Elise out of her thoughts. She bit hard on her lips, suppressing her cries as she looked back at the heartless alpha.

‘It’ she wondered, he treats people like mere tools.

“I am no one’s property or tool. You aren’t going to give me to a beastly brute to use my body how he pleases,” she spoke out, but Kyren only chuckled.

He stood up from his chair and moved to her, his hand harshly molding around her nape. “Your father had all the years bragging about killing my men, I'm sure he thought a mere marriage between us will join our packs and make him more powerful, but turns out you were a failure and now you're nothing but desert for a beast to have a taste of" he muttered.

"You cannot escape here. Especially When rumors of you killing your mother have spread throughout the entire realm, and the moment you leave this place, you’re a rogue with a bounty on your head,

“You can’t do that! What did I ever do to you? Is it my body you want, Kyren? Then just take it!”

“I don’t take dirty bloodlings into my bed. Besides, you did not submit yourself to me, and you are a broken wolf, so you have no choice, sweetheart. You are my property, and I can do what I want with you. Funny, you still have the words to talk back to me. One more act of defiance, and I’ll let all my fighters have you for entertainment.”

A shudder ran down her body, her spine locking up at the mere thought of strangers forcing her to engage with them. But her attention was struck by the low snarl from the muzzled alpha that remained in the field.

Silver chains were thrown on his body to stop him from fighting back. Even with all those wounds, Elise was still surprised that he could move so wildly and fight off four guards that tried to contain him.

“Your new male seems lovely, doesn’t he?” Kyren mocked. “We’d give you only one day to prepare yourself. His rut is coming pretty soon, and you’ll be the one to serve him.”

Elise’s heart thundered from his words. “You monster, let go of me!” She screamed as two deltas held her firmly from attacking Kyren.

“Take her to her cell, and make sure she never sees freedom again,” he ordered.

Elise was led down spiral flights of stairs. As the dungeons became darker, only dimly lit candles put on the hind wall led the way to the cells.

The stench of blood and dirt filled the air. She was pushed into one of the holding cells by the delta guard, who removed her chains. Beside her cell was a large silver door and a tiny metal-framed window connecting hers to a darker cell.

No ounce of light was spared or let into that cell, and she could barely see who was inside. “Good luck, princess,” the guards snickered before they left Elise alone.

Now she focused on her surroundings. The harsh and hard breathing of her cellmate next door had Elise on alert. Her nose peaked at the smell of mint and a hint of cedarwood, but the grave smell of blood made it hard for Elise to tell.

That was when her mind flicked back to the dangerous male who had fought and killed someone earlier. Her hands flew up to her mouth in shock. There were barely ten feet between her and the beastly alpha.

His powerful scent and aura gave it away as she heard movement and the crinkle of hay leaves. “Who’s there?” The voice snarled quietly, and Elise couldn’t stop the squeak she let out.

Her body quivered now that she had been noticed, but he made no moves to attack, and Elise didn’t know why something in her reacted to the alpha’s voice.

“I’m a prisoner here too. You don’t need to act so hostile, little wolf,” his voice echoed. “What is your name?” He asked, but she didn’t answer immediately. Elise could hear the pain in his voice from those wounds.

Her fear of letting someone die rode over her fear of survival as she stood up and peeked into the small window. She saw the blood-red eyes that shone from his cell. His aura was more powerful and dangerous than anything she had ever seen.

He was barely in clothes, only underwear, and his hand was still bleeding from the wolf's wound. Her instincts moved before she could think, tearing off the side of her worn clothing and handing it over the fence.

. “I’m Elise. Here, use this to stop the bleeding.”

“And why do you care? Did he send you to me too?”

He didn’t trust her, but he took the cut cloth, and Elise crawled back to her position. “You tell me, since I was sent here to be with you.” There was a knowing silence as he finally spoke.

“You are the silvernight pack heiress, my conquest from the fight.”

“I am no one’s property.”

“You won’t be saying that tomorrow when they put you in here with me,” he added.

“So you are still going to be with me? Even after I help you?”

“Either that, or they kill you right in front of me. Your choice,” he said, and Elise's throat felt dry. “My rut is on its way, and I won’t be myself either way. But I won’t hurt you. Kyren only wants to punish me.”

“I thought you were his champion.”

“His champions have estates and skilled healers to attend to them. I am his prisoner, and his plans to torture me include you,” he said. Even though his muzzle had been taken out, the cell was far too dark for her to make a distinct image of his appearance.

“Why? And why does he need me?”

“He needs my offspring as leverage to hold on to me, and you have been chosen as the breeder. But none of them were ever successful and died with the child in them.”

Elise felt sick to her stomach, as he explained. “Stop!” urged the alpha as he leaned back against the wall of her cell.

Elise shut everything out as she placed her head on her knees, taking deep breaths to stop herself from having a panic attack. She squeezed her hands so tightly that her palms bled.

She looked to see a small iron bowl that water dripped into. Her reflection on the surface showed her white, streaked hair, a harsh reminder of what happened. Now, not only was she cursed, but she was going to become a breeder.

She wondered if death was a better option, but she recalled her mother's desperate eyes. She didn’t tell her father there was a possibility Elise wasn’t his because she wanted her to live, and she would.

Even though she was cursed with freakish silver hair and said, “I'm Ka’al,” she heard his voice echo off the wall as her eyelids turned heavy. She closed her eyes, and her body fell into a slumber.

She felt a whirling, cool wind in her head as she heard a male's voice that echoed in her head. “It’s going to be okay, little one. Trust me.”

Elise was too tired to fight the voice as she fell into a deep slumber. Bang!

The cell states were hit hard, and Elise woke up. She looked to see that same Delta guard, who looked at her lustfully, sitting down and staring at her. “Morning, beauty,” he said, but Elise turned away from him.

That pissed him off enough to throw away the porridge he was holding as her breakfast. “Fine, you bitch. Starve then. In a few hours, you’d be mounted like a mare and have little strength in your body until you fainted. Be careful; that monster will eat you right up for his rut!” He chuckled.

“Fuc—”

*‘Don’t say that’* a dark voice loomed in Elise's head, shouting right up as she slammed her palms into her ears in panic, wondering where that voice was coming from.

But the delta wolf just looked at her like she was insane before he got up and left. “Crazy bitch,” the delta muttered as he closed the dungeon doors.

“Who said that?”

*‘That was me,'* and this time Elise recognized the voice from the cell. He was speaking telepathically to her. *They don’t know I have this power, nor do they know I can speak, and all their attempts to cut my tongue off and permanently damage me have been futile since I don’t speak when they are here*.

“You were bleeding so much last night, and how is this even possible?.”

*Listen, I’m using the last bit of my strength and sanity to talk to you. I will soon go into a rut. Whatever you do, do not run from me. My wolf likes a chase. Do not run, and I will not harm you,* he warned.

Elise's heart thundered in her chest as she took in a hard gulp before nodding. The telepathic channel was immediately silent the moment she responded.

And just like he warned, a few hours later, Elise was being let out of her cell. The heavy doors of the alpha cell were barraged open as her heart spun a thousand beats.her legs quivered like jelly, horrified with terror as she swallows.

With the last lock unbound, she was pushed into the dark cell, awaiting what was to come of the alpha's feral rut.

And now her innocence was going to be taken.

Chapter 4

The Beast's Rut

The harsh stench of blood and lust floated around the enclosed place from Ka’al’s rut, filling the cell the moment Elise was pushed into it.

It was a much larger cell than she was used to, with no source of light or even a window in the dark space. Panic reeled and rushed through her blood as she placed her hand on the walls to find some kind of footing, moving to lean on the cold iron door.

She heard a slow, low snarl from the end of the room, her body jolting in surprise. Oh gods, she didn’t realize he would appear far larger than what she saw in the arena. Now he was close to her, towering over her, making it seem like a losing battle.

“No, stay away from me,” Elise whimpered, but her words could hardly come out. She felt terror seeping through her skin the moment he stood up fully.

His huge build had her mind reeling. “Little wolf,” his low voice muttered as she pushed herself against the door, maybe hoping she could somehow turn invisible.

But his heated breath, rising to her nape, said otherwise. He could see her very well and smell her. She hated that something in her felt like giving herself to him—something in her purred to life at his words.

But she recalled his warning that he wouldn’t hurt her. She opened her eyes, shocked at the glowing red hue of his eyes, like a flame had ignited in his orbs.

Dangerous, yet so hard to look away from. His strong hands reached up to her chin, his fingers caressing her heated skin, tracing a line down her neck to her middle.

The moment his fingers brushed against her nipples, Elise held in a gasp. She was terrified and fascinated at the same time. His daring eyes never left her small, shivering frame.

Elise has pushed herself back since the moment she felt his hand ride up her skirt. “What are you doing, Ka’al? You’re scaring me; stop.”

“Shh, omega, you are mine. Don’t move if you don’t want me to wreck you, Omega.”

“I am not an omega—agh, ngh!” She moaned as his lips pressed hotly against her neck, kissing it until her body arched out. Elise could hardly think.

She could hardly make a word out as her hardened nipples brushed against his hard neck. He pushed the spaghetti strap of her clothes down her shoulder as his hand slid down her back, tracing the lines of her spine while his lips feasted on her nape and breast.

His hand dipped into the wet heat that leaked from her behind. Elise couldn’t explain why his touch made her feel like this. Her body had never reacted so wildly to anyone and never flamed so heavily to be touched more.

But his aura and scent drove her wild. She was drunk from his touch. “What are you doing, Elise? Stop this!” She told herself, but she couldn’t fight it.

“Wait, stop… I don’t—” she started, but his growl was unpleasant enough to snap her out of her daze. He held her arms, turning her hard until her breast touched the cold wall, and she hissed from the cold contact on her nipples.

Elise felt a hard push at her back, noticing his hard-on and that he’d been fully naked the entire time, his nine-inch length rock hard and aching.

His greedy and ravenous hands didn’t stop as he scooped her breast into his hand. Elise screamed out a moan. “Look at you, ready for me. Your perfect hole is ready and aching for me to fuck, and I’ll take you well, Omega.”

Elise bit her lips, her hands pushing against the wall as she felt her legs spread open. Her first time was about to be taken in a cell by a faceless beast she didn’t know.

She couldn’t breathe; she couldn’t think. Slam!

The painful full thrust into her virgin core caused her to lose her footing and mind for a whole second. Cries left her lips from the pain. He was rough yet gentle.

“You’re too big; it's too much for me!”

“You can take me, little wolf. You can take my full cock in you!” He snarled into her ears as he bit and kissed her earlobe. “Your scent is driving me crazy.”

Elise pulled through the painful intrusion of his large member. He began to thrust at a rhythmic pace that matched his massage of her breast, and Elise began to take pleasure from it.

The moment she got in pace with his thrust, he began to move faster, and she gave herself to him wholly and completely, letting pleasure remain as he slammed into her. “Ahh-ngh! Ah,” Elise moaned.

His thirst was unquenched. He kept going even as Elise's legs gave out. She had never experienced an alpha, let alone an alpha in full rut. Elise was exasperated, her body finally giving out after a dam, feeling like her core burst, and she came, with his hot fluid dripping into her.

She felt this painful tug in her core, unable to move as he couldn’t pull out. “What is this? Why do I feel so full, and why are you growing larger, agh?”

“It’s my knot; it’s not going down anytime soon,” he muttered, his voice finally sounding human. She was surprised that he was back. Stories she heard were that alphas could last days or weeks.

“You’re back?” She whispered into the dark cell.

“Barely, but my ruts have been irregular from the months I’ve been trapped here, so I think it’s over,” he said, looking down to where they were both joined. Elise couldn’t help the blush that spread from her body in embarrassment. They were practically locked together.

He carefully picked her up and took her to a hay bed made at the side, lying them both down. He could feel her body getting exhausted from hours of having sex.

*Sleep,* he said telepathically.

“You still haven’t explained to me how you can do that or who you are,” she muttered quietly through the darkness.

“I’ll explain that when we get out of here,” he told Elise, making her stiffen up.

“What? I don’t understand,” she couldn’t help her heart quicken with hope.

“We need to get out of here. Knowing how potent my seed is, you could be pregnant in a few days,” he said as he held onto her tighter, saying the last part telepathically. We are going to get out of here.

It was a promise.

Chapter 5

His Mark

ELISE (pov)

I felt his girth push into my body, spilling into me until my body limped, and I passed out from exhaustion after hours of endless sex, leaving me sore all over.

The moment I opened my eyes and was met with darkness, all the memories rushed back. I reached for my neck to touch the stinging pain, recalling that I was bitten last night, a ritual that almost completed the bonding process. But I hadn’t accepted it.

My body, once warm, now felt cold, as if the warmth had been taken from me. I shot out of the small bed and reached blindly for my clothes.

I could barely control my breathing, my virginity taken by Ka’al, a stranger I hardly knew.

"You're finally awake," his voice echoed in my mind. I couldn’t help but hiss at the sudden intrusion. I pushed myself into the corner, knowing Ka’al was looking at me.

I could tell by his position and scent, still heavy from his rut, sitting quietly opposite me. “You forced yourself on me; you said you wouldn’t hurt me if I didn’t fight back,” I hissed as I got dressed, trying to cover what shame was left.

“I didn’t—I did the best I could under the circumstances, and now it’s over, but this isn’t what I want to talk about, not in here anyway,” he said quietly.

“I plan to leave this place soon, and you’re coming with me. In case my offspring are in you, I know you’d want it gone. I won’t put that burden on you, so we’ll get it out when we leave here,” he assured.

My ears perked up, and I fully sat up, ignoring the pain in my lower hips and back. “How, when?”

*Soon,* he said shortly. I wanted to ask him more, but the footsteps from outside told me that betas and delta guards had arrived.

“Do not think of trying anything funny; we have silver chains and wolfsbane; we want only the girl; Alpha Kyren needs her, so come to the box to put your muzzle back on, mutt,” one of the soldiers ordered from outside the cell.

Ka’al let out a small snarl as he walked to the small window box between our cells, facing back as quick hands reached in and locked him back into a muzzle. “Where is the girl, beast?” the male outside asked.

It hurt me to see how they were treating him like a feral monster, even though I couldn't understand the emotion I was feeling for a total stranger. I wanted to snarl at the male guard for treating him that way.

“I am here,” I answered instead, and a few seconds later, the doors clicked open, and more than 10 beta soldiers were outside, their eyes stern and some afraid to see if Ka’al had followed their words.

“I tried hard not to show my limp as I walked out of the room. The sun's rays illuminated streams of light into Ka’al’s dark cage, the place where I had spent a whole day. I caught a glimpse of long, shaggy dark hair in the light before the door was closed back.

From the delta's smug face, I could tell they all knew what had happened in there: “Alpha wants to see you.” One of the Delta head guards told me as I followed them outside.

It wasn’t long until we reached the familiar walls of the throne room. Kyren's dirty blond hair glistened in the sunrays as he watched my every move.

This was what he wanted—to see me humiliated, to see me broken to the point of submission. “Funny, I could have sworn that that beast would rip your head off the minute you tried to fight back since you’re too stubborn to submit, although I admit he did a number on you.”

I stared back, biting my lips to suppress a snarl, knowing the consequences if he let his soldiers harm me and not bat an eye.

“Are you not going to say anything?”

“And if I do, will that change what you’ve done to me? Will that change your greed?” I asked, and his brows twitched in annoyance at my words.

He reached my space at lightning speed; his eyes shone a feral red, and his canines retracted out, sharp and menacing, to threaten me. “Do not think for a moment; I can’t kill you.”

“Then why don’t you? Why keep me alive since I’m so cursed?” I continued, a part of me wanting to see his limit. We were half-bonded but not mated; there was no mark or blood bond ever set in place. Yet I still wanted to see his limit. “Or are you that coward?”

Smack!

My cheeks stung, throbbing from the slap to my face. I could smell and taste warm iron as my lips had been split open from his abuse. His hands pushed heavily and painfully on my shoulder till I heard a crack; he had broken my bone as a warning.

I screamed in agony at his attack, but Kyren only chuckled at my expense. "Weakling,” he spat.

“You and your mother are the same whore that has given yourselves to an unknown beast, and just as she gave birth, you will too, but not to any offspring you will ever see.

I felt the wall of my throat constrict from his wicked words, so Ka'al's words were true; I was going to be used as his weapon. “Take her away.”

“Just know this, Kyren; you made a mistake not killing me when you had the chance,” I said as guards pulled me away.

I could hardly recall how I got back into the cell, only the crippling pain that spread. My eyes and mind were clouded with so much anger and pain from this unfair world that I wondered if the moon goddess had cursed and abandoned me and my sweet, innocent mother, who died for giving me life.

My body sought comfort and reassurance that it would all be okay. I couldn’t help but look at that small window and think of Ka’al. Why was I thinking if the madman just had his way with me?

The clank of the cell's iron bars brought me back to reality as I looked at it to see that troubling delta male, whom he had come to know as Hans. His eye still showed so much interest in me that I wondered if I could use it to my advantage, but the image of becoming friendly with him made me shudder.

“Time for your lunch, beauty; hopefully, a full day without one made you hungry,” he said, sliding the tray of bread and soup under my cell.

It was warm, and I wondered if he did that so I’d be grateful and owe him a favor, but my system needed it full as I munched on the bread. “Your breakfast, beast!” He slammed coldly into Ka'als cells as he passed his food from the middle chambers on the doors.

After eating, our trays were taken back, and I began to feel sleepy. I was tired from last night and how much I was fucked, and I am still drowsy. I pulled myself into a small pile, facing the wall, and closed my eyes to sleep.

Not once did I hear a word from Ka'al's cell. I squeezed my eyes tight, letting the disappointment settle in till I slept off.

The sound of my cell doors quietly opening made me shoot up awake. I tried to remain until someone crept into the cell.

The cell was far darker than earlier, proving that the sun was setting in. I felt clammy warm hands rise my thighs as I quickly pushed myself up. The smell of dark lust attacked my nostrils and sent my body into fight mode.

But he was quicker. I saw my attacker was none other than Hans; he must have put something in my soup because I could feel my body weaker as his hand clamped down on my mouth to keep me quiet.

“Shut the hell up, bitch!” He cursed at me, “You think you’re better; you think you can look down on me while you’ve let that beast get in between your legs and fuck you; I will have a taste of you too!” He laughed evilly.

“There are no guards for miles away because they are drinking from the merry festival and only you and I so scream, no one will hear!”

“Let her go!” Ka’al charged from his cell, barging through the silver cage and his muzzle, which surpassed his strength. He couldn’t get out without a key. He was trying to help me, but he couldn’t.

I could see desperation and bloodlust in his eyes, and the guard just laughed at him. “I should have known your tongue had healed; bark all you want, beast; those doors are enforced with silver; and I don’t mind an audience; I will take her in front of you!”

No, I wouldn’t let him have his way as my teeth clamped down on his hands. I bit it till I drew blood, and he let out a shout. “Agh! You bitch!” he screamed. Even with my half-broken shoulder, I picked myself up.

*Fight back!* I heard Ka'al's voice channeling into my mind. I immediately felt a surge of power and attacked, punching the Delta the moment he was distracted. I gave one huge kick to his stomach, and Hans' back groaned as he hit the wall.

Just when he thought it was over, Ka's hand reached out from the small caged window, his arms crossed around Hans's nape, immediately grappling the delta in a suffocating position he couldn’t escape.

I watched as air and life seeped from his eyes. With one skillful pull, there was a loud crack as his neck was broken, but Ka’al didn’t stop there until he ripped his head off.

The blood splattered everywhere, and as I recalled the sound of my mother's neck crack, I fell to the ground, heaving all the contents out of my system.

“Breathe for me, Elise,” I heard Kaal's soothing voice over the wall. “Can you do that?” I nodded quietly in response. His voice was the only thing keeping me morally sane right now.

“I need you to focus on me; don’t think of anything else.” I wiped my tears and picked myself up on shaky feet and said, "Get the two keys on his body; the small left is for my muzzle and the other is for my door. You can do this,” he told me firmly.

I quickly reached into Hans's bloody clothes, taking the keys. I passed the one for his muzzle through the window box as I pushed open my cell.

I pushed the keys into the large, mighty silver doors that were made to keep him in. I didn’t care if he was a monster to them; he had been the only one by my side. And by the last lock, I had made up my mind, this man was my key to my escape and revenge.

The door opened, and for the first time, I saw his tall stature up close in the light. He raised his blood-caked hands to give my face a light caress, but he looked down to see it was bloodied. There was a long, bloodied scar running from his brows to his lips, still red and fresh; they had given him no room to heal fast.

Yet I could feel his powerful aura get more intense as he took in the moon's rays by the window. His cuts seemed smaller. “Good job, little wolf,” he started.

“Now let’s get out of here.”
