Relationships in the opening

Her Mother's Bracelet Is More Than Nyroth's Gift

Zephyrine recognizes the bracelet as a keepsake from her mother, making Nyroth's decision to give it to Kaela more significant than a contest over an accessory. Her request that he accompany her to collect her parents' ashes seeks shared mourning and an opportunity to explain herself. His preference for an alliance dinner answers the logistical issue with an escort while leaving the emotional request essentially unheard within this opening.

What does Zephyrine ask Nyroth to share that sending a substitute escort cannot provide?
