Familiar Teasing Meets Emily's Need for Privacy

Emily and Bryson have the shorthand of established friends, but an unexpected bedroom visit leaves her embarrassed and asking him to disregard what he saw. His teasing continues until an ordinary call to breakfast interrupts the exchange. Read for interpersonal boundaries, these opening paragraphs distinguish comfort with a familiar person from confidence that he will honor a request for privacy, using continued teasing and an ordinary household interruption to expose the tension.

How does Bryson respond when Emily asks him to let an embarrassing moment pass?
