Relationships in the opening

A Welcome Shaped by Rank and Appearance

Before meeting Raelyn, the Salvatore brothers complain about the place and the prospect of an Omega choosing among them. Seeing her changes their expressions, but Adrian's later remark makes clear that admiration has not displaced his contempt for her assumed rank. Alex turns the encounter into teasing between brothers. These opening paragraphs invite attention to whether surprise at Raelyn's appearance changes the brothers' treatment of her as a person rather than a rank.

Does the brothers' surprise at Raelyn's appearance alter how they speak about her status?
