Inherited Expectations Meet Scott's Dishonesty

Lila measures her relationship against the closeness she sees between her parents, yet admits that being with Scott has never felt right. Discovering his dishonesty turns those doubts into an immediate problem of trust. The receptionist later notices her distress and offers help, creating a quieter counterpoint to the hallway scene: support is available, but Lila wants control over how much of her experience becomes known.

How do Lila's expectations of trust differ from the help she is willing to accept?
